False lashes can take your glam to the next level — but if you’re new to them, they can seem a little intimidating. Don’t worry: applying and removing lashes is easier than you think when you know the right steps!
Here’s your quick guide to applying and removing false lashes safely and easily:
How to Apply False Lashes:
1. Prep Your Natural Lashes
Start with clean, dry eyelids.
2. Size Your Lashes
Hold the strip against your eye. If it’s too long, trim from the outer edge (never the inner corner!) for a perfect fit.
3. Apply Lash Adhesive
Apply a thin, even layer of lash glue along the band. Wait about 30 seconds for the glue to become tacky — this helps it grip better.
4. Place and Press
Using tweezers or a lash applicator, set the lash strip as close to your natural lash line as possible. Press gently from the center outward.
5. Blend and Finish
Once dry, you can touch up with eyeliner to hide the band .
How to Remove False Lashes:
1. Gently Loosen the Band
Use a cotton swab dipped in oil-free makeup remover and run it along the lash line. This loosens the glue.
2. Peel Off Carefully
Starting from the outer corner, slowly and gently peel the lash strip away from your eyelid.
3. Clean Your Lashes
If you plan to reuse them, remove any glue from the band and store them in their original case to maintain their shape.
Pro Tip: Never rip off your lashes quickly — it can damage your natural lashes and irritate your eyelid!
